Jan Barnes, a Board member and a Club teacher, has created this blog so that members can easily give the Computer Club new ideas, and suggestions, for Club activities. When this Club started in 1993, the world was quite different. Personal computers were new and few seniors were users or even interested in computers. Club classes and seminars taught thousands to “use and enjoy computers.” Now, almost twenty years later, most of our seniors have and use computers. Those who do not are missing out on many opportunities as they stand on the sidelines while the world continues to move on.
Computers keep getting better, and it is hard to keep up with all the changes. That is the main reasons for this blog – to help members, and the Computer Club, to keep up with those changes.
