If you are not currently using an ebook, but think you might like to use one you will want to attend the our FREE meeting on October 12th that will feature a presentation on ebooks and tablets. It will be held in the Delta room at the Del Valle club house beginning at 2pm.
The Rossmoor Computer Club, in conjunction with the Acalanes Adult Education Center in Walnut Creek, California, is one of the largest computer clubs in the nation. The officers and board members planned and designed the Computer Club with the goal of helping senior citizens become more computer literate, share information and keep abreast of computer developments. The Club is made up of computer enthusiasts who band together to learn, share experiences and serve the Rossmoor Community.
I have a Kindle about one year old. I love it, I love it, I love it.
ReplyDeleteFirst understand I use it for READING. I do not want it for surfing the net or email. I can use my laptop for that.
I love the fact that the screen is what they call etext - it looks black and white like the page of a book. It is not (backlite) like a computer screen, so I can read outside in the bright sun light (my favorite place in the world).
Downloading books is QUICK & EASY. Amazon offers a wonderful range of books from FREE to around $10.

Why are all your meetings during working hours? Some of us are still working up to 5 days a week.

I love the Kindle, although I will definitely look at the second generation of the Kindle Fire. If you like to read, you have to try one.
