Let's Talk Ebooks

Are you an ebook reader?  If you are, what brand of ebook do you use? Why did you choose that model?  Do you use it often? What do you like about it - would you recommend it to others?

If you are not currently using an ebook, but think you might like to use one you will want to attend the our FREE meeting on October 12th that will feature a presentation on ebooks and tablets.  It will be held in the Delta room at the Del Valle club house beginning at 2pm.

  1. I have a Kindle about one year old. I love it, I love it, I love it.
First understand I use it for READING. I do not want it for surfing the net or email. I can use my laptop for that.
I love the fact that the screen is what they call etext - it looks black and white like the page of a book. It is not (backlite) like a computer screen, so I can read outside in the bright sun light (my favorite place in the world).
Downloading books is QUICK & EASY. Amazon offers a wonderful range of books from FREE to around $10.

  2. Both my wife and I have a Kindle and we both think they are great!
I usually read two books at once and I never lose my place,

  3. Why are all your meetings during working hours? Some of us are still working up to 5 days a week.

  4. That is a good question. I will bring it up to our board of directors at the next meeting.

  5. I love the Kindle, although I will definitely look at the second generation of the Kindle Fire. If you like to read, you have to try one.
The CC library should be available to the Kindle around the first of the year.
